This site

Wildcattin (wildcattin.com) is a local event board. This notice describes the information the site's code collects. It does not describe other event sites.

Contact form

The contact form collects your name, email address, topic, and message. It sends that note to alfred@wildcattin.com through AgentMail. Your email is the reply-to address on the message. The form does not store the message in a database.

The form includes a hidden company field. If that field is filled in, the message is not sent. The form allows five messages from one network address each hour. That address stays in server memory for the hour and is not saved as a profile. On the live site, Vercel BotID checks the submission and rejects ones it classifies as bots.

Text alerts

Text alerts are optional. If you ask for a reminder on an event, Wildcattin collects your mobile number, the consent language you agree to, the time you agree, and which event you chose. A texting provider delivers the messages. Signing up also records YES, STOP, START, and HELP so the list can follow those replies.

That information is used to send the reminder you asked for and to honor one STOP for every site that uses this number. A STOP, START, or YES is also sent to the other sites that text from this number, including Lubbock Depot District and Watch Wombat, so they can stop or resume too. We do not sell your number. We do not share it for marketing or advertising. The texts are service messages about the event you chose, not advertisements. Event alerts are not sent between 9:00pm and 8:00am Central Time. Anything queued then goes out after 8:00am. The confirmation text is sent right away, including overnight. The reminder goes out the day before the event, or the morning of, and not during those quiet hours.

To stop, reply STOP to any of those texts. STOP cancels texts from this number for every site that uses it, including the event boards, Lubbock Depot District, and Watch Wombat, not only Wildcattin. You can also email alfred@wildcattin.com and ask us to delete the number. Reply HELP for help. Sign-up, when text alerts are turned on, is on each event listing.

The signup form has a hidden company field. Filling it in does not save the number. The form also requires the page to have been open for at least three seconds, allows five attempts each hour from one network address and from one phone number, and uses an automated check on the live site that rejects submissions it classifies as bots. Those counts are not saved as a profile.

Cookies and sessions

Wildcattin does not set a session cookie or a theme cookie, and it does not keep an account. The contact form's bot check runs when the form is submitted.

Analytics

Wildcattin loads Vercel Web Analytics in production, including on this page. It records a page view for the page you open and counts daily unique visitors. It is privacy-friendly and cookie-free: it does not use cookies to identify you.

Wildcattin does not load a third-party advertising script or any other visitor analytics script.
